This Adventure starts at 7:30 p.m. seven days a week. We will pick you and / or your group up at key hotels in the downtown Denver area and in the Denver Tech Center area and take you to a trailhead at Palmer Lake. This Bike Adventure begins by running south 6 1/2 miles on a former Santa Fe railroad bed. The hard packed gravel surface trail is generally straight and level. The next section runs through gentle rolling hills inside the Air Force Academy and runs to the Ice Lake trailhead. The bike ride inside the Air Force Academy is restricted to the 6-foot wide trail but well worth the ride. From Ice Lake trailhead, we ride on into the city of Colorado Springs on concrete and wood trails. There are signs along the trail with information about the history, geology, and the flora and fauna. This is a great bike Adventure. The Adventure runs about 20 miles and takes about 5 1/2 hours from start to finish. To ride on any of the Tours and Adventures, you must be 13 years or older, with the exception of the Mount Evans and Vail Pass Adventures - you must have a valid driver's license to participate in these two events.
